It is a moment when we set an intention, tune our mind and body, and choose how we will experience the coming hours. Very often we get up in a hurry, grab our phones, check emails and social networks – and even before we have finished our coffee, we are already tense and 'plugged in' to the world. What if we started the day differently? If we dedicated just 30-45 minutes to ourselves – without screens, without rushing, just with a few morning rituals that bring us back to our body, mind, and heart?

In this article, I will present to you 5 easy morning rituals that I personally practice almost every morning. I’m not saying that I do them absolutely every day, and not always all of them at once – life sometimes has other plans. But even when I manage to include only one of them, I feel how my morning goes more smoothly, and my mind and body more easily transition from sleep to conscious action. These are small steps, but with a big effect – like personal anchors that bring me back to myself before the world pulls me into its rhythm.

Whether you’re a “morning person” or not, you can try these out. They don’t require fancy equipment or lots of time — just a little intention and consistency. I promise: you’ll feel the difference.

11. Wake up mindfully — not with your phone

The first 10–15 minutes after waking up are sacred. Your brain is still in alpha waves — a dreamy, in-between state where thoughts and emotions are soft and malleable. If you grab your phone immediately, you interrupt this natural transition and fill your mind with input that often causes stress or distraction.

Try this instead:

Keep your phone away from the bed.

Use an analog alarm clock or a gentle wake-up alarm.

Sit up in bed, close your eyes for a minute, and just breathe.

Smile — even if you don’t feel like it. Your body recognizes the signal.

🎯 Result: A calmer start and a more focused mindset.

2. Move your body — even just for 10 minutes

This isn’t about doing an intense workout (unless you want to). It’s about gently waking your body up — with some light stretching, a few sun salutations, or even dancing around your kitchen to a favorite song.

Ideas:

10 minutes of yoga or simple stretching.

20 squats, 10 push-ups, and a 30-second plank.

Dance while making breakfast — no rules, just fun.

🏃‍♀️ Result: Energy, circulation, and good vibes first thing in the morning.

3. But instead of gulping down half a liter mindlessly, make this a tiny ritual of self-care.
